I have recently purchased an 05 Mondeo LX from a 'Ford' dealer.
The Owners handbook is dated 02 and things like the heating control system refer to rotary controls rather than the push-button one fitted.
Have I been given the wrong handbook?
Can anyone with an 05 model tell me what version of handbook they have?
Thanks

Probably;go back and ask for the correct one!!
|
The dealer parts dept can input the reg n.o or VIN and their system will tell them the part number for the correct handbook.

Wasn't 2005 "facelift" year for the Mondeo?
Could it be that yours is bang on the change over period and Ford supplied an older book originally?
These manuals are fairly slim and B&W, so probably only cost £1 or so, so I am sure dealer will replace with a relevant one for free.

When you bought, they probably grabbed one out of the nearest car!!

No, late 2003, facelift from 53 plate onwards.
|
Of Course, 03 was the major revamp year, but I am sure 05 was a minor trim tweak year.
Wasn't it 05 they started using chrome trim around rear clusters?
Anyway Cheddar is right, the heater controls would have been in the late 2003 revision.

Thanks for your replies - I'm seeing the dealer on Saturday and hope that this will be resolved!

my June 2005 Zetec has a handbook dated 12/2004 RHD.
Avis must have stored it carefully for the 10 months they had it!- perhaps not so for yours?
|
That date is the date of the last revision to the book, not necessarily the date it was printed.
