I wonder how Fiat's new Stilo is selling ? Several months after its launch and I've yet to see a single one on the roads although there are plenty in dealers' showrooms. One Fiat franchise in South London is offering an additional £1,000 discount on the Stilo provided you trade in a competitor car like a Focus, 306, Golf etc ...
Think that speaks for itself !

I've seen one. Unfortunately it was in a lay-by on the A14 with the bonnet up.... Probably very unfair to Fiat to mention this, but I haven't yet forgiven them for my Uno.

Seen a few around Leeds/Manchester/Preston/Lakes, but they're not exactly clogging up the M62. Maybe once the hire fleets are renewed there'll be more?

Saw one yesterday at Donny train station. Looks ok from front, messy round the back.
However, the lines did not line up, not very good for a 10k car. Looked very shoddy and cheap.

Funnily enough saw my first one today, looks very similar to peugeot 307 IMHO. In my opinion the only decent car fiat have produced in recent years is the Punto.

Not a huge oversupply of these at the moment, but if you wanted a Punto or Dublo van, dozens with 'just off production line' mileages, registered by Fiat UK themselves, late 01 early 02 examples around!

If it's anything like my old Seicento dont buy one.
The paint chipped at the slightest touch and after two month (and 1.5k miles) the bodywork looked more white than the red it left the factory with.
Fiat refused to fix under warranty saying it was caused by 'external' factors. You could virtually guarantee that after each journey there would be more chips.
Will never buy a new car from them again.

What really annoys me is the fact that the Fiat group regularly seem to pick up ECotY awards yet, in the case of the Alfa 147, in terms of build quality and running costs the cars are dreadful. For an indication of the car's build quality, see how it crashes in the NCAP frontal offset: frightening.
What will happen is the rental fleets will pick up the Stilo. Too many people, me included, were stung by the free-fall residual values of the Bravo/a and will not risk our money on another Fiat.

Seen one in the City of London, parked in the side street off Bishopsgate that leads to the City of London Police garage. I think it's a police car as it has the piece of police paper on the dash that prevents it getting clamped.
