espace idleing problem (petrol) - fender

I have found this forum very informative and wonderd if anyone could help me with this problem?
I own a 92/93 Espace (petrol injection). Shortly after starting from cold, the rev's rise and fall constantly, when I set off there are flat spot's. When the engine is at normal temp there is not a steady idle and there are flat spot's between 2/3000 rev's.
I have replaced the water temp sensor to the ECU,plug's and dizzy cap and air filter. Still doe's it. Could it be the intake manifold gasket?
Any advice would be welcome.
