Ford Fiesta Winscreen Pump - mick13bass
Hi

The windscreen pump on my wifes Ford Fiesta seems to work but no water comes out of either the front or back washes. The water bottle is full and I have pricked throught the wash jets and they appear to be clear, has anybody had this problem and if so does it require specialist help or is it easy to resolve?

Sounds as though the impellor has fallen off the shaft. The motor sounds as though it has no load. Regards Peter

Unplug the pipe off the pump (a kettle of boiling water over the pipe wiil help you release it) and see if the pump actually works.

Pound to a pinch it's the pump filter that's causing the problem.It gets blocked ip and won't allow any fluid through,if your fiesta is a 96 shape the filter is bit awkward to get at you have to remove the wheelarch liner to get at it.If you have to remove the washer bottle one of the securing bolts is only accessable from the osf door shut . Hope this is of help
