Son's Corsa ran its battery down a few weeks ago (away at university)
He came back yesterday and the radio display is showing "Safe"
Have tried the process in the book for putting code in (ignition on, radio off, press and hold A/S button) but nothing happens.
Have tried disconnecting and re-connecting the battery but is still the same.
We have not got as far as putting in a code so have not had any attempts! Have left ignition and radio on for an hour - still no change.
What am I doing wrong?
It is a 51 1.0 club but he upgraded the radio cassette to a single CD.

I take it you've pressed the on button of the radio whilst holding down the AS button?

as i uderstand it its ,
ignition off push and hold AS
turn ignition on with AS held
turn on radio count to 5 and the code input bits come up
let go of AS
proceed with the code you have on your vauxhall card.
this always works for me anyway.

Thanks, that did it.
Must learn to read.
Turns out what he thought was the code wasn't so he had to find the radio card. Now sorted.
