I happen to have an article from this weeks press in my hand.

"Re Euro-profile locks"
"It has been addressed across Europe, but 22 million doors in Britain are still vulnerable"

Mr Charnley of Newcastle is quoted in the article.

"ACPO are working with BSI to remedy this problem and are close to a solution"

"One organisation tackling the problem is Secured by Design, a police initiative aimed at cutting crime by changing the design of security systems"

Faulty Patio /French Door locks - Dwight Van Driver
Featured on TV last week, Look North (BBC News)if my memory serves me right on how it is possible with little effort to pop the lock on these doors. Lock guard mod has been made to prevent this.

There was a reference on its effect on crime and a statement from Northumbria Police.

I am surprised more people do not share my concern that so many doors in this country are still vulnerable to the knowledgeable thief. Just hope somebody knows what modification is available to overcome this problem.!!!!!
