Gearbox oil change Mondeo TD - ShineOnYouCrazyDiamond
I have a 1997 face-lift 1.8 Mondeo TD.

I can see one hex nut on the gearbox near the bottom which is facing towards the front of the car. From here where is the othere one, the one to put oil into?

Look on the side of the gearbox. You will see two hex heads standing proud in a horizontal line. The filler bung is to the left of these - its a recessed hex IIRC.

Hi. I have a 1997 facelift Mondeo 1.8 TD.

I want to change the gearbox oil as I have a problem getting the car into 2nd gear when the car is cold.Once it has warmed up its fine.
I been told by a few people now that changing the gearbox oil might help this (if not cure it).

Could someone be as kind as to explain where the filling plug and the drain plug hex are?

I can see one recessed hex. If I am standing at the front of the car looking at the down at the engine, one recessed hex is there near the bottom of the gearbox facing the front of the car.

Can some explain in simple terms where the other is please?
