I clicked on some of the less obvious vehicles for a hint of what they were labeled.
I liked the Fiat 128 bakkie but the Buick boot was the best

Like the Renault 4 with the "sticky back plastic" on it which turns it into "La Parisienne"!!
I propose a hypothesis along the lines of "the fewer the clothes the carper the car" - it seems that it ain't far wrong!!

I'm afraid that even if she had come as a free optional extra with a Yugo, I would still not have been tempted! I could never understand why they were imported - they were bad enough broken down by the side of the road in Yugoslavia - they didn't have to bring them here to show us!

Ahhh, takes me back. I remember seeing them in Turkey in 1974. I was told, IIRC, by a Turkish chap that they were basically Fords. I must confess that I thought them quite attractive. My memory doesn't quite stretch to whether the model pictured was the one I saw. (Model of car, that is . . .)
The Anadol symbol, however, is the same as it was then. It represents an ancient Hittite artefact or something like that.

Reliant used to use Ford mechanical components so that would be right.

They missed, to my mind, one of the best -- "Six & The Single Girl" -- circa 1966 when Ford had too many 6 cyl Mustangs on hand and targeted the female market. I have a copy of the original TV commercial on VHS, very TIC for its time.
