my 2002 focus 1.6 zetec has started making creaking noises,sounds like rear passenger side.it is most noticable going over speed humps.please tell me i only need something greasing, as two people have run into me over the last month and i,m skint.not in the ofending area i might add.

having driven two different hire cars over the last month a corsa and micra.it reminds you how brilliant the focus is to drive.

The Focus tailgate is well known for making odd creaking noises so I would rule that out first - the official Ford fix is to wrap insulation tape around the locking pin. A bit crude, but it seems to solve the problem.
