Running lights and LAS - ChrisR
There's a very articulate and well-written letter in January's Cycling Plus magazine about the dangers or otherwise of cars having permanently on running lights. The writer concludes that, based on the evidence of other countries, cyclists, pedestrians and so on will not be "drowned" in a sea of lights. Interesting.

More interesting is the writer, one Christopher Watson of Newcastle upon Tyne. The letter is not written in the style of the bumbling fool we know and love. If this letter writer is you, Chris, what's your game?

I thought that was the name of an diarrhoeic German Irish psychiatrist, but then again I'm in two minds about it!

His postings here are just a ruse, he knows 'exactly' what he's doing, don't you worry.
Re: Running lights and LAS - peter
If u know what he is doing, let us in on the secret. Please.

Well I think you all know I decided a while ago CW/lac/lac is a persona not a person.

There is also a well know writer of spoof Internet articles from that area called Christopher Watson. Sometimes 2 + 2 does = 4.

Might be wrong but....

Re: Running lights and LAS - Mark (Brazil)
I don't actually care whether he is the intelligent spoofer, or the sad, mindless little prat I think he is - either way he is boring.

I used to think that I was indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

Dreadful isn't it? My company once wanted me to go on a decision-making course, but I couldn't make my mind up whether to go or not ....

Re: Running lights and LAS - alvin booth
I don't find him boring or mindless. On the contrary I think he adds a little lightness to the room.
It just wouldn't do for all of us to be the same and variety can be the spice of life. If Chris is some intellectual spoofer so be it. If he is just the imaginitive Billy Liar who many of us have a soft spot for, the same stands.
Some of us are luckier than others but we all live on the same planet and we should neither be condescending or superior to others.
If Chris is some eccentric so what....he's given us a few laughs and I don't recall him referring to others as boring, mindless, or any other derogatary label.

Whilst there is some sense in the things you say, on this [quoted] point, you have a short memory.

Obviously got too much time on his hands and is not yet old enough for my favourite time-filler.
Re: Running lights and LAS - ladas are slow

Re: Running lights and LAS - markymarkn

Re: Running lights and LAS - Guy Lacey

I don't think making your girlfriend dress up in your brother's overalls and softly whisper quotes from the VW golf owners manual in your ear[1] is really something LAS would be interested in at any age...
