2001 Vectra. I have a slight weep from the low pressure pipe that runs across the radiator where the flexible pipe is crimped onto the solid pipe and have been quoted £250 to replace. Is there an alternative repair possible?

In a word...no.
You can maybe find someone that can repair and recrimp a new piece of pipe, but by the time you take into account removal, repair and recharging, plus the possibility of the repair not being very good, it's not worth the hassle.
Do it once, do it right.
