Independant Honda servicing - andydeem
The car is now 5 years old and probably does not need full dealer servicing from now on. Therefore does anyone know of an independant Honda garage who can service my car?.....I live in the North Staffordshire area around Stoke.
Cheers
Andy

Not from your area so don't know of any specialist. I have had mine done independently for 2 years and saved quite a bit. There is not alot of magic to a Honda and pattern parts are available so a few calls should get you what you need.

My long experience with Hondas has taught me to always check the price of a part with the dealer first - pattern parts for Hondas are often dearer than the real thing and no comparison on quality. Labour charge is another issue, of course! But if you are doing it yourself...

My parents each had Hondas which were 13 years old when sold. They were alwasy servied at teh local dealer who knew them so well that they were able to drive the car away after a service and the bill would come in the post a few days later.

If there was the slightest problem, they would pop up and it would be seen to for no charge whilst they waited (Very rare - usually brake pads or an exhuast weld). That's why they always go to main dealers.
