I'm new to this forum, so apologies for any mistakes.
I've owned a 99 Ghia Focus for 5 months, and I've had no real problems. This weekend however, I've noticed a quiet but noticable squeak from the steering wheel whenever I turn it about 5 degrees from straight. Its somewhat intermittent but when it squeaks its very irritating, I was wondering if the attachment screw for the steering wheel was loose? Its definitely not occurred before and its becoming more noticable, is there a washer that needs replacing?
I've taken it to Ford this morning to have it checked out, but I'm half expecting them to say its 'normal' - but it definitely isn't. Any ideas?
