My Citroen Synergie (which I rashly offered to the local dealer as a trade-in with 12 months MoT) failed said MoT today. Apparently the indicators were too white. (I thought white was an absolute; isn't this a bit like being a bit pregnant?).
Anyway, loth to throw anything away that works, I removed the four bulbs, scraped off the flaking orange varnish and treated them to 2 coats of Tamyia acrylic x-26 clear orange paint. The indicators are now orange but I don't know how long the paint will last. BTW the paint was bought in a model shop a year or two ago. Apart from scraping my knuckles taking the ballast (sorry, CD changer) out of the void next to the o/s rear light, the operation went without a hitch.
