AWD driving technique - John Regin
I've noticed that in the car-by-car brakdown for Impreza HJ says "Clutch wear is common because drivers do not adjust their driving technique to the requirements of a four wheel drive car." Can anyone illumiate me? Don't want to inadvertantly ruin my clutch (Legacy).
Re: AWD driving technique - Honest John
If you're clumsy with the clutch of a front wheel drive or rear wheel drive car, assuming it doesn't have traction control, you will get wheelspin. If you're clumsy with the clutch of a part time four wheel drive car, you get clutch spin, and that wears out the clutch.

Thanks, obvious when you put it like that!
