Fiesta mk3 gear box cock-up - doctorchris
I have made a stupid mistake trying to drain the gear box oil on a 1999 Fiesta 1.25LX. Could find no drain plug where it was meant to be according to Haynes so undid a likely looking size 10 Torx bolt. Only a little oil came out and now have lost 5th gear.
Obviously a big error, but is it safe still to use the car without 5th gear and how expensive is the repair going to be?
Seem to remember somebody did something similar to a Polo on a previous thread. Cannot believe what an idiot I've been!

Just so you know, and it's being pedantic but '99 is a Mark 4. Only saying in case it differs from mark 3 to 4.
