Just a word to say try and catch up with some of this event on TV if you haven't already done so. I'm following it on Eurosport. I just wanted to say how much I am in awe at every single competitor on this mammoth event. It is one hell of an event.
If you love driving, even if motorsport itself isn't your bag, just watch some of the action. It's pure undiluted motoring adventure of the old school. Hollywood couldn't dream up better. It's terrific.
And you don't need to know anything about rules, classes, classifications or anything.
Just watch.

yes i'm watching it on eurosport too but i'm not sure what i'm watching. there's trucks and bikes et al
whats the rules? classes? types of vehicles?

a full rundown of the event would help a great deal.
