Went to do some shopping this afternoon (didn't go yesterday - needed food!) Total journey distance about 20 miles and saw the sftermath of 4 accidents (luckily none serious)
1. Saxo in outer lane of a dual carriageway had braked for roundabout but gone straight on where road curved left onto roundabout onto central (raised) reservation damaging front of car.
2. Saxo had been rearended by a Metro at another roundabout so it went into a 406 in front - damage front and rear
3. Saxo was stopped on a slip road, bad damage to offside front and front wheel/suspension hanging off.
4. Saxo and BMW stopped by side of dual carriageway, Saxo behind BMW which had front badly damaged, didn't see what had happened to Saxo.
The first two seemed to be driven by youngsters (ie under 25) other two had middle aged people standing by them so it's not all down to "baseball capped youths"!
What is it about Saxos??

Now might be a good time for them to look at the C2, you can get ABS for number 1, better crash protetion for 2, different suspension for 3 and more rear end crash protection against (but better brakes than) BMWs for no 4.
|
And doesn\'t it look good? (Notwithstanding the lime green one mentioned in earlier thread - the one I saw was black and looked great.) Mind you, not much room for your mates in the back or for the shopping in the boot (or those great speakers - or should I say woofers??!!)
|
I'm 6'3 and found the C2 to be very comfortable in the drivers seat. I didn't dare look to see how much room the rear passenger would have had, but I am sure it would have been more than in a MINI.

better brakes than BMW's? Is that an opinion or scientific fact? I must have missed that report.

I've seen 2 BMWs in the back of Citroens this year. Not seen any Citroens in the back of BMWs ever!
|
perhaps the BMW drivers were blinded by the rear fog lights being on all the time. Citroen drivers drive with the front fogs on all the time, so maybe they've progressed to having the rears on as well.....
