Is there a 2 seat electric convertible available for between £40-£60k new.

Within those parameters, no.

Currently two of the original Tesla Roadsters on Autotrader, but the cheapest of those is £75k.

There are a selection electric Smart Fortwo Cabrio's available from under £13k up to just under £21k.

Of course with a £60k budget, you could buy a decent used MX5 and have it converted to electric power, there are a growing number of companies doing that type of work now.

No - the nearest would be the new Fiat 500e, available in a cabriolet version with a canvas roof that's electrically operated. Not a true convertible and with also has rear seats, but the closest you can get to your brief. From around £30k.
