Audi A1 - Petrol smell coming through air con - Allyballybe
Hi there, Audi a1 issue for 3 months now, full service been done, fuel filter replaced and fuel cap replaced. Air con sensor replaced, car checker over 5 times for any leaks, nothing showing on computer. Any ideas what could be causing this, fuel smell only comes through when stationary or low speeds, spent a bit of money trying to resolve anybody had the same issue. Thanks

If you're doing a lot of short drives,the evap. canister will not be properly purged and you may be smelling fumes from this.It does not normally purge at idle & WOT(wide open throttle), only at normal driving conditions.

If there are no leaks in the fuel system, have you thoroughly checked the exhaust including the manifold? When at idle or crawling fumes will hang around and be drawn into the car. Can you smell fuel when you lift the bonnet? Put the air con on re-circle until you find the problem
