Volvo V70 - volvo v70 2008 footwell water - barney100

In the heavy rain water gets into the passenger side footwell, the heaters not working well so I guess it's related...any ideas?

1. Water could be coming through the scuttle area. Check that the scuttle drains aren't blocked.

2. Windscreen seal. Door seal.

As for the heater, are all the vents working properly? There will probably be one that controls the air blend for the heater. Have you had a recent coolant change and got air in the system?

Do you mean there is no heat or is the fan blower not working?

Fan works fine and the screen clears on full blast but little heat.

Could be a jammed actuator in the heater system not moving a flap to the "hot" position.

Could also be something mechanical like blocked heater matrix, air lock in cooling system, failing water pump etc.

Any garage with decent diagnostics or the Volvo VIDA software should be able to plug it in and find out of there are any codes in the climate system.
