Unlikely. Modern gear shifts ,either auto or manual are vehicle specific .

Really? I have seen vids of guys popping off a gear shifter and replacing it with a different one.

Im only talking about the actual top bit with the button, not the entire stick.

You may well have been looking at something from the US. I could well imagine there being a large market for that type of thing there, with it being such a car culture and also with the vast majority of cars being auto. But in this country i'm not so sure what, if anything, could fit what you want. I have certainly seen replacement gear levers for manual cars, but not auto's, though TBH i've never looked.

One possibility, though probably not exactly what you are after, is to see if you can get a 2nd hand shifter from a higher spec car like yours, maybe a leather one?.

Think he's on about changing the knob rather than the whole thing?

Yes exactly

Yes, i know, but my points still stand. There just isn't the market for that here. If you look on Ebay, you may find some Chinese products (as they are also a predominantly auto driving nation), but the quality is likely to be poor. You could get something like this,

which, in theory, would work, but i'd be very reluctant to use something which did away with the button lock. This is there to prevent things like shifting into reverse while driving, shifting into drive or reverse while parked, etc. If you were prepared to spend a bit of money, you could possibly get something of a higher quality, with the button lock, which could work. I did find a US site with some fancy looking stuff, including this MOMO one, but its pricey, and of course you'd need to get it sent here!,

It takes all sorts, doesn't it.

In 50 years of owning cars I have to admit that I've never looked for style in a gear lever knob. Clearly I haven't lived.

All I ask is that it isn't made of metal, so as to avoid extremes of heat or cold to the touch in summer or winter.

As a spotty 17 year old in a ratty MK1 Fiesta, i'd be looking for a 'fancy' gearlever, which would DEFINITELY make the car go faster!.

Now?, not so much (-;
