Hi everyone,

I am the content writer for a motoring website; for which I have been working on a recent article around the biggest Italian car manufacturers, their origins and what makes them different.

My aim was to make the article fun, interesting and engaging. I was, therefore, hoping to gain some thoughts and feedback from motoring enthusiasts, such as those in this forum community.

Your thoughts and feedback welcome.

Kind regards,

Craig

So "carleasespecialoffers" is the motoring website you write for and you are doing a piece on Italian manufacturers?, really?, do you take us for fools?

Hi badbusdriver,

Not at all. "carleasespecialoffers" is the domain name for our company's website. The company being Wessex Fleet.

I've written a blog article of the 5 best Italian brands as a starter for looking into the biggest European manufacturers - which is a relevant topic to current political affairs.

As you are all not "fools", I was hoping for genuine feedback regarding the content of the article itself - there is no offers, deals or prices listed in this article. Purely for entertainment purposes rather than sales.

Kind regards,

Craig

Any post like this on a selling site is to increase sales - if it's not then why put a link after each make to show the best deals? At least be honest.

You say it's about the best 5 Italian car brands...but other than Lancia...who else is there? So seems more like a list of Italian car brands and nothing more.

Um, Alfa Romeo?

Personally, would touch a Fiat/Alfa and cant afford a Ferrari/Maserati. Haha.

Err yes.

Also owned by Fiat..

The coming recession is going to decimate non electric car makers.. Ford and Fiat being two of the more notable..

"....there is (sic) no offers, deals or prices listed in this article. Purely for entertainment purposes rather than sales.'

If that were true, there wouldn't be a sentence at the end of three of the five sections on the lines of 'If you want to see what leasing offers we have on Fiat (/Alfa / Maserati) cars, please click here' ?

I will leave this up for the rest of today, so that people can see what we're talking about, and then I'll remove the link.

Other organisations pay good money to advertise on here. I can see no good reason why you should get it free, other than the sheer desperation involved in trying to get anyone to lease a Fiat.

Ah yes, from my Marketing days - the constant struggle of how to make the Marketing budget go further. That's it - free PR!!!

I avoid Italian products. I had several stove to coffee makers made in Italy made by several companies. In one case the welded on spout fell off. In another case the welded on handle fell off. And in another case the welded on top fell off. They do make lovely panettone and other food stuffs though. Yum.

I dunno how leasing works in any detail, but I'd assume

(a) You don't actually own it

(b) You don't have to fix it

(c) You don't have to consider depreciation.

I'd have thought, therefore, that Italian cars (which I'm told are quite nice when they work) and leasing went pretty well together, no?
