Hi

I have a seemingly mysterious problem with my 2008 Audi TT (8j) 2.0 TSFIRoadster (200hp) 90k miles. During most load types there is a stutter to the engine from about 2000rpm to 2800rpm. This then clears and the car accelerates fine. There are no check lights and the car is fine otherwise?

Ive had this since purchase earlier this year.The local Audi specialist couldn’t find anything and apparently checked the coils/Maf and replaced the oil breathercan.I have since changed the air filter/plugs and had a carbon clean. Its still there and annoying but does not seem to be any worse.

Ive been on the internet and there seems to be no hard answer. Has anyone has this before? Before I start spending loads of money and replacing parts willy nilly it would be good to narrow it down??

See if you have a local Bosch diagnostic specialist,

They're usually well trained and equipped,

No offense to you local dealer but this just isn't they're thing.

A good diagnostic tech does not relay on code reading.

At this mileage, I would be looking at possible injector issues and/or blocked air passages in the inlet manifold or possible build up of gunge behind the inlet valves. None of these will show on a diagnostic check via the obd socket.

I would be looking at old coils breaking down or injector. Coil packs were notorious on this era of AudVw
