Can I fit all-season tyres to my EV?

Can I fit all weather tyres to my ID3 EV? The fitter is concerned that only low rolling resistant tyres should be fitted as replacements or else the range could drop by up to 25%. All weather tyres would be better suited to our conditions.

There is nothing to stop you from fitting all-season tyres to your car, although it is correct that this could have a significant impact on the available range. Low rolling resistance tyres do contribute to the range of an EV, and the increased grip of all-season tyres may mean they wear more quickly and generate more noise, which will be more noticeable with the quiet drivetrain of EVs.
