What are the best tyres for low road noise?

I’m about to take delivery of my Skoda Kodiaq PHEV. I do a significant mileage each year (about 35,000 miles) mainly on motorways, A and B roads, and really appreciate good quiet tyres. Could you recommend any? I’d prefer all season tyres that I can use in the Alps in winter or alternatively I am prepared to go with a set of summer and winter tyres. Any advice much appreciated.

All-season tyres tend to generate more noise than summer tyres because of the tread pattern and rubber composition, so if noise levels are the priority a set of summer and a set of winter tyres may be the best approach. However, you could look at Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 tyres which are good for low noise or alternatively Continental All Season Contact 2.
