Renault Modus 1.4 (16V petrol) - Injector Low Fuel Fault Code (Renaulr Modus 1.4) - 3puddings

I have a fault code on Injector 2 saying low fuel as well as a coil 2 misfire warning.

I have checked the coild and they are all firing ok, so It looks like replacing the injector is the way forwards. Can anyone let me know what the firing sequence in on this car so I can take out the guess work.

Also the garage said that the injectors are below the air intake manifols so how big a job is thie.

Typically French number their cylinders from the gearbox,

so #2 would be second along from the box.

My data states around 1.5 -2.0 hours to swap all 4 so it doesn't sound too bad,

Though to be up front I've never done one!

If I was in there I'd clear all codes the swap #2 for #3 injector then run it and see if the injector fault code has moved cylinders.

If it has moved then you've isolated a faulty injector.

Ignore the coil code it just there because of low fueling.

I have checked the coild and they are all fine, there is an independent renault specialist nearby me and they have said they can do the injector for 65 including labour which sounds a bit cheap. They told me the same thing that the coil warning is probabally related to the low fuel warning from the injector,

Click mechanic are quoting 400 odd for replacing all 4 which is a bit on the steep side if you ask me. The injectors themseves vary from 50 to 120 retail price.

Well the "Doctor" knows his stuff but if the indie is quoting that I'd gamble.

Most likely a good S/H injector,

And some specialists are just very good at their game having done many similar they quite possibly could do the job in less than an hour.

So if your on a budget?

I have a independent renault specialist nearby, the mechanics are all ex renault and they are normally a bit more expensive but they are reliable and know their stuff
