Citroen C2 1.1 2006 - Citroen C2 underpowered and trip incorrect - C4HDi

Hello folks

The wife has a2006 Citroen C2 1.1 petrol and for a while it has I've thought it a bit underpowered on the odd occaision I've driven it. I thought it might just be the contrast with my own car. On a couple of longer journeys recently the "stop, engine overheat" light has come on. It normally does about 10 miles a day and doesn't show then.

I've just flushed out the colloing system, changed oil and plugs then took it out for an Italain tune. It still seems underpowered, and I noticed on the trip it was reading 36 miles - after I had done about 3 or 4. Connected problems?

I don't think the clutch is slipping - or am I just missing it?

TYIA!

stop, engine overheat" light. This could be related to low coolant or an electric cooling fan problem.I would run the engine up to hot and check if the fan cuts in.Really can't see any connection between power and trip miles. What did the main odometer read?

Good question! I'll check that later - going to reset the ecu and take it out again. The fan works fine, coolant was at the max level, I've since flushed the whole thing out and refilled with the appropriate mix. It feels to me that it's "strangled" and then runs hot on a longer run as a result. Sigh....

WELL! What a plonker, top tip here, put your specs on... I thought it said 36 miles, but it was reading an entirely accurate 3.6 miles... doh! Have reset the ECU, had it out for a spin to do the re learning thing, and seems to be OK. Still feels underpowered, but running fine. Maybe I'm just too used to 160BHP...
