Honda CR-V - 6 yr old Honda CRV has the flat battery fault - nala7

After b6 years my Honda CRV has got the flat battery fault ,Any ideas ?

Honda CR-V - 6 yr old Honda CRV has the flat battery fault - Railroad.
Flat batteries are caused by one of three things.
1. Battery unserviceable. Reached the end of its useful life.
2. A fault with the charging system.
3. Something not switching off when it should, causing the battery to drain over a period of time.

If you can jump start the engine connect a voltmeter across the battery, it should read about 14.4 volts with the engine running, if it does chances are the battery is u/s if it reads much less it will be the alternator.
