I am a single parent with 3 teenagers. Due to my disability I need a car with high seating. Something like a zafira size. Does not have to be a 7 seater.
Prefer it to be under 6 yeas old, budget around £6 but will stretch to £8k. Top of the need list is cruise control. Would love an auto.
Having looked at what is on offer I have narrowed my choices down to:-
My favorite - Ford galaxy/s-max 2.0 diesel. Trouble is for my budget I am looking at cars with 100k+ miles on the clock. Would like the titanium because it comes with cruise control.
New shape Mazda 5. Did have one when they came out, a 1.8 petrol. Nice but no cruise control and squeaky suspension when cold. Would like to go for the newer shape which has the kit I want. Was wondering if the tyre wear issues has been sorted.
Vaux Zafira. Would go for the 1.8 petrol design or elite. Cheap to buy reliability okay. Plenty on market.
Vaux Zafira Tourer. Nice car to drive. Hard to find one below 10k but like the looks.
Ford C-Max - on my maybe list
Not on my list -
Honda FRV although reliable but rare and spares expensive.
Toyota Verso - expensive - holds it value?
Kia Carens - small for me
Citroen/Renault not fun to drive plus reliability issue
have I missed any out? what do you reckon is the best bet?
