Do I need a specialist to replace TPMS sensors?

My Toyota RAV4 2013 requires new tyre sensors. Is this a job for tyre fitters or a Toyota dealer or similar? Since the Toyota monitors cost about £180 for 4, how much would you expect to be the overall cost please?

A reputable tyre fitter should be able to replace your TPMS sensors, although you may need to call a few in advance to confirm. Using an independent tyre fitter or Toyota specialist should mean the cost is reduced, as they will use pattern parts rather than Toyota-branded parts, but you will need to contact suppliers directly to obtain a quote.
