Anyone know what could cause 'judder' in second gear?

It is possible to drive around it with some gentle accelerator work. (Back off and gently reapply) It is also noticeable on the over-run sometimes.

I've got a feeling it'll be driveshafts as it feels like they are 'winding up'

Any info appreciated.

(Edit: 138,000 miles, all original transmission/drivetrain AFAIK)
