Up to 3 years ago , two bradford post codes BD3 and BD8 were showing 40 % of the cars registered in those areas weren't insured ! Since then there's been a major police campaign to seize uninsured cars ,including an uninsured 60K Ferrari ! However , how does that begin to justify leaving two injured children in your car and disappearing for two days . What needs to change to prevent driving uninsured ? my trade policy currently costs over a £1000 pa because of these lunatics .

The old adadge of prevention is better than cure clearly doesnt work in this case so the only way is cure. The way forward then is simple, sieze and scrap all uninsured vehicles and incarcerate the drivers and owners. However there is just one problem, who is going to detect the offenders? The government is cutting DVLA staff who have the facility to identfy the uninsured vehicles and cutting funding to the Police who would have had the manpower to chase up the offenders. So what needs to change is Government (of what ever persuasion) who is interested and capable of listening to what the public want and carrying out the wishes of the majority. Its not happened yet and I'm not holding my breath.

What is so special about Bradford that it gets away with this?

What else do the Police allow the population to get away with?

The Police are failing to do their duty if Collos 25's comment are true, the commissioner needs to speak up and explain.
