This morning SWAMBO reversed our Passat to the back of our neighbour Fiesta, it was a shunt and the Passat did not have any damage.

However the Fiesta has a 10 cm hairline crack at the boot lip and the hatch need a slightly more force to be shut. Our neighbour took it to the local body shop and the quote for the job included a repair to a small crease to the plate behind the bumper, which I assume is the crumple zone at the rear and repairing the crack but not replacing the bumper.

All in the quote was £400, I have no itension to take it via our insurance as the excess is around £300. What I would like to ask ladies and jents is about the price quoted, is it sounding reasonable for what look like a minor repair job?
