Daihatsu Charade 04 Reg - Central locking stopped working - galileo

Daughter has just told me her central locking has stopped working. The key is a plain mechanical key to put in the door keyhole, no remote function, but locking/unlocking the driver's door should lock/unlock all other doors.

She had a new battery recently, I don't see why that should cause the problem, is there a fuse which controls central locking, as everything else works normally?

There will be a fuse controlling the cdl. You will need to consult the manual or diagrams on the fuse box lid to find it and check it. I would expect cdl to have a dedicated fuse.

If the cdl is entirely manual (no RF controlller) then there must be a switch inside the drivers door which activates the other doors. This may be on the back of the lock or may be intigral within the latch. Find this switch and check its operation. Also check all wiring for breaks especialy where it passes from door to pillars.
