Vauxhall vectra sri direct - Running and starting issues - dabull52
I have recently bought a 55 plate vectra 2.2 sri, it has the z22yh engine in and I seem to be having issues with it. The issues are, the car tends to start without an issue initially, it will then idle perfectly for around 30 secs and then becomes very lumpy and dies, sometimes it will restart and if it does it continues to run lump, when it initially starts and runs for 30 secs I also can't touch the accelerator pedal because it then also runs very lumpy and dies.
Now I bought the car as spares and repairs claiming it to be a fueling issue, after spending a fair few pennies on replacing high pressure fuel pump, fuel regulator and fuel pressure sensor and fuel filter the issue still remains, I have measured the fuel coming to the high pressure fuel pump and when running it constantly stays at 4 bar which indicates no issue with lift pump. I decided to ask the neighbour for his OBD to try and see if there were any faults. Now stupidly I decided to clear the codes before taking them down ( rookie mistake I know ) but this is what came up, initially it said high voltage input to fuel pressure sensor, high voltage from MAF, low voltage from MAP, throttle management malfunction and high voltage throttle position sensor. After clearing them no faults then came up which is very confusing because clearly there is. I then checked the instrument control and it came up with 2 codes ( this time I learned ) code u2105- no communication to the engine ecu and code u2117- no communication with info display, I then cleared them and again nothing came back.
I know I maybe jumping to conclusions here but I believe the issue to be with the engine ecu as I can't see all these sensors failing at once, the only issue with that verdict is that I am still getting a love reading when it runs. I would appreciate your views on this, I'm in two frames of mind at the moment weather to send it to a vauxhall specialist to see what they say but obviously that's more money down the drain.

I would go on a Vauxhall forum but this engine has a problem with the throttle body which will cause the problem you describe I would forget the ECU for the time being .

This 2.2 engine is an absolute horror.Coupled with the Hpi system makes it double worse. The critical issue on these is fuel pressure. What value do you have at idle?I should be around 5000Kpa.

It was running between 5000-6000kpa on idle, fueling is alright but it dies like its fuel starved but it's not which makes me think it's more electrical.
