I have a '06 plate Vauxhall Astra Club 1.7l diesel. Recently I've noticed that occasionally whilst playing a CD it sometimes turns itself over to radio for no apparent reason and I end up being fed traffic reports from radio 1 or something along those lines.

I think RDS or whatever it is turned on, could this be the answer to my problems if so, how do I turn this off?

Apologies for the poor writing, I'm not very technically minded.

I'd suggest you've got Traffic Announcements (TA) turned on. They're supposed to interrupt whatever's playing.

Have you read the instruction book?

not really a technical issue more of a read the instructions issue.,,read the manual and turn off the traffic announcements job done,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I couldn't actually find the instruction for the CD player at the time (have since) and google was no help to me.

A friend of mine clocked onto what it was as it happened again with him in the car.
