Honda crv - Car written off - harry55

Hello. Any advice welcome. My honda crv, 07 plate, 38,000 miles, written off by insurers. I am now waiting for their value. I paid £9K about 8 months ago. What do you suggest I do if they value the car much less, let's say £6K? How do I argue for them to revalue upwards? Thanks.

To get a fair price you need three car adverts from autotrader of similar cars and similar mileage if the insurance company offers you much less provide them with copies of the adverts .

Is it your own insurance company who are seeking to write your car off?

If not, and it's the third party's, then they have no authority to do so, unless you are in agreement with this being done.

If it is the TP's then you are entitled to be placed in the same position you were in before the accident occured, i.e. you can demand they repair your car!
