Hey All,

Anyone have any experience with new car delivery? I ordered a Seat Ibiza FR sport DSG and I was told its about 4-5 months which I guess is normal for a factory order car. But does anyone have recent experiences they can share with Seat?

Thanks

No direct experience with Seat, but that delivery time sounds par for the course on a factory order for a new car, in fact better than some.

We ordered a new car (Hyundai Bayon) in the middle of may, expecting to get it in Oct/Nov. Some we looked at were saying Jan '24!

I am surprised it is so long for delivery

Other manufacturers are 1-3 months for a factory order with the exception of some Ford vehicles and land rover.
That is my experience from looking to buy this summer.

I just got an update from the dealer, I have a build date of week 42, which is in a couple weeks, and then delivery expected around December. Shipping can take long sometimes. But much better lead time than expected so positively surprised about having a build date given a month after placing my order.

Not Seat but VW and Skoda (both VAG companies).

VW were quoting 24 weeks for a Golf DSG in late August.

Skoda were quoting 42 weeks last week for a Fabia DSG.

Thus your dealer is pretty close to what we were told from VW.
