May I please seek some advice.
My new Nissan Leaf has developed a fault and won’t start up. My expectation was that my local Nissan dealer would take the car, fix it and in the meantime provide a courtesy car. This is more or less what the warranty promises.
I have phoned 3 dealerships so far and can’t find one that will accept the car within 4 weeks. Also, courtesy car is proving tricky with one dealer saying none available, another charging £35 for insurance cover.
My question is; do these new car warranties come with a guaranteed level of service? Is there a legal duty to diagnose and repair the car quickly?
Thank you in advance for any views.
