There's been a few "breakdown cover" topics over the years here. But most of us have cover of some sort so why not.
After many many years with Autoaid I've finally gone elsewhere. I,ve become increasingly unhappy with the staff in their Romford office and their penalties for owning older cars has given me the hump too.
I'm now with Britannia / LV and pay them £99 for two drivers with two cars (personal cover) with both cars being 14 years old and covering national recovery and home start.
I looked at others and they were ruled out for a variety of reasons.. all of which are spoken about here quite often. Eversure fell at the first fence and, rightly or wrongly, the AA and RAC have never really been in the running either.
We shall see what happens in the event we need them one day. I do have a small but effective portable powerbank in each car and they have got me started on a couple of occasions when I've been foolish enought to flatten a battery so they will probably reduce the likelihood of a callout.
