Renault Espace - Warning lights on dashboard - turbo-tora

Hi guys, i am looking for a bit of advice please.

I would like to buy a 2006 diesel espace for a bargain price but the sellers says all the dash lights are illuminated, my question is, is this an easy fix or is it a major issue and should i stay away from it.?

Many Thanks.

It’s impossible to diagnose via a forum like this - a code reader will tell you more, all garages will have one.

I suppose it depends on how lucky you feel. Personally, I wouldn't take it as a gift.

It's quite obvious its an expensive fix, if indeed it can be fixed, if it wasn't a serious task the present owner wouldn't be getting shot of the thing as spares or repairs, which is what the thing currently is.

Comes under the same heading as 'aircon needs a regas', no it doesn't need a £50 regas its needs work somewhere between £500 and £2500 to put the thing right.

Do not buy a Renault 2.2 Dci diesel ( if that is what the engine is) unless you are a practical person who is able to understand and deal with the number of things that crop up over a year with the engine. The same advice applies to the 1.9Dci engine. The electrics also need understanding and generally need attention over a motoring year. You need to be able to do most of this yourself to reduce costs. .

You have been warned...!

The answer is quite simple - if you are genuinely interested in the car, suggest to the seller that if he gets the problem fixed you will pay him a fair price. If he won't, your earlier question is answered.
