Alfa Giulietta QV - Knobs!!!! Gear knobs to be precise - sx200n

Hello,

I have finally got myself a car after looking for ages at what seems like an endless amount of options, of which then shrunk as my budget did.

However, I have managed to get myself a 2010 Alfa Giulietta Cloverleaf that has almost no marks on it anywhere and is in spotless condition, despite having done 90k miles.

The ONLY marks and issues I found is that the gear knob is pretty well scratched, and as the rest of the car and interior is spotless, it looks out of place.

Never having needed to do anythig to a gear knob before - if I buy one (not from Alfa of course), are all gear knobs interchangeable, or do some manufacturers have different fitments?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

You can only fit the correct one for your car. Many car makers now do not supply the knob on its own, you have to replace the complete shift linkage.

Or you could try a breakers.

Or you could try Ebay. Plenty of alternatives available for a Pug 205, so I guess there are all sorts out there. You may have fun shifting the old one though .. :-)

If its a simple plain knob you should have no issues. The standard one will normally either pull off, screw off or be secured by a grub screw at the back.

If its a knob with a reverse collar or similar you will find it more difficult.

But why not contact the Alfa forum or better still one of the many Alfa specialists who will probably able to supply a suitable replacement.

Is it just the clip on cover you are after?
