Toyota Auris - Buying used car, got MOT advisories. - yekimevol

Hey,
Looking for advice on what the costs of fixing these parts would be, as theres a car I love but these are down as advisories on the MOT history.

Rear Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))

Nearside Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i))

Offside Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i))

Thanks

Mikey :)

How old is this car and what mileage has it covered? Also is it petrol, diesel or hybrid?

These are minor issues and not unexpected in a used car more than 5yrs old. Use them as leverage to negotiate the price down and as a rough estimate (depends on who does it) costs should be around £300 assuming they’re just referring to a couple of bushes and a set of rear discs and pads. You won’t find many older used cars that don’t have minor signs of wear and that’s exactly what these are.
