Rover 25 1.4 W Reg year 2000 - slight vibration of steering wheel - Delysher

I noticed a slight movement of my sterring wheel when driving.

A kind of vibration of steering wheel side to side.

Any idaea what it might be ?

It depends.

Does it do it at specific speeds, or in narrow speed ranges ? If so, then most likely to be a wheel/tyre needing balancing.

If it does it at all speeds, then more likely to be a wheel bearing.

I would concur, probably 95% of vibration problems are down to wheel balance or defective tyres.

If its a slight rock side to side it might be tyre tread wearing to point where tread is out of straight, and get worse as tread wears, I`ve had that on several cars over the years including my Rover 25 V reg.

A new tyre/s sort it out and found Michelin to be worst for it!
