In my Jaguar X-Type 2.0d (2005) I keep noticing an increasing smell as I have to stop and start/use clutch more frequently. It is not exactly a burning smell, it smells more like "old cheese". It doesn't smell at all when I drive fluently (outside a busy traffic or on motorways). The car was with a technician because of another matter recently and he didn't find any problem even though he tested the car. Do you have any suggestions what it could be? Should I take the car to a garage immediately? Many thanks.
