Will Volkswagen contribute to repairing an ESP fault on my Eos, which is currently in France?
During the last few weeks my Volkswagen Eos's ESP light has been permanently on. It developed this fault a month before the guarantee ran out, and I took it to a French dealer who informed me that it was out of guarantee (which is two years in France). I bought the car in England, but I'm in France for some months. Have many others had this same problem with ESP light on the Eos? I can see that the Golf has been affected badly. I am reluctant to pay possibly £1500 or more when the problem started before the guarantee had expired. Due to my wife going into hospital, this issue took a back seat, but now I would like to get to the bottom of it and find out if this is a Volkswagen weakness, and also if the roof not opening is a connected issue? I can't see what the connection could be, but who knows?

Yes, the ESP sensor is a major problem in the UK where Volkswagen will contribute to the cost. Since your car was UK purchased where there is a 3-year warranty it might be worth your while e-mailing: volkswagencustomerservices@volkwagen.co.uk
