Electronic Stability Problem

I have a SEAT Alhambra 2.0TDI (registered in Sept 2007/57 plate). I bought the car in March 2010 (1 previous owner from new) and it has been serviced at a SEAT garage so far. At the weekend the ESP warning light came on and has stayed on. The car has done approx 39k miles.

Having read your articles previously I understand that there is an issue with ESP sensors on VW family cars.
Is it reasonable of me to ask for any work to be carried out free of charge/at a discount, as it is just out of warranty and because of the known issue with the ESP unit?

I hadn't heard of the ATE Teves Mk 60 ABS/ESP pressure sensor fault on the Alhambra before, but as long as the car has always been serviced by SEAT dealers then you may get some goodwill. If not, go to www.ecutesting.com or www.sinspeed.co.uk
