You can use the Claims Regulation Unit to stop spam calls relating to accident claim compensation.

AM of Bolton complained (Compensation culture - Saturday July 21, 2012) of being plagued by phone calls from firms telling of compensation awaiting if suffering aches and pains arising from an accident. I have also been plagued by text messages making similar claims and I haven't even had an accident. Your readers may be interested to know that the Information Commissioners website www.ico.gov.uk(http://www.ico.gov.uk/for_the_public/topic_specific_guides/marketing/texts.aspx/) has advice on how to deal with this problem and one can send details to the Claims Regulation Unit by e-mail consumer@claimsregulation.gov.uk and to the SPAM unit of ones phone service provider.
