Bored of Sensors
I have been reading some of your comments in the Telegraph online concerning VW ABS Pump failures. I own a VW Jetta first registered in March 2006, I have owned the vehicle since new and the car has been fully serviced throughout by the VW dealership. The ABS Pump has now been identified as faulty and requires to be replaced. I note your comments that VW will pay the entire replacement costs and wondered about the source of your information. I have spoken to my local VW Dealership today and they have indicated that they will pay a goodwill fee as will VW but I will also have to pay a percentage. I would be pleased to learn more about who I should speak to at VW.

Depends on the history of the car. If fully VAG serviced then in many cases VW has been paying for the repair. Email: volkswagencustomerservices@volkswagen.co.uk But this only applies to the ATE Teves Mk 60 ESP pressure sensor fault, and you don't now get a new unit. You merely get a repair to the pressure sensor, that normally costs about £700. You can have this done independently by www.ecutesting.com or by www.sinspeed.co.uk for about £350 plus the cost of removing and refitting the module. www.actronics.co.uk might be a bit cheaper.
